How do you do it?

When it comes to investing, do you research, research, research...or, do you rely on hot stock tips from friends, family, and the media?

People always ask me what stocks to buy because they "just can't figure out which ones are good". I always recommend that they trust their instincts.

Stocks are like potential friends, dates, spouses, etc. Would you want some random person grabbing some other random person off the street and voila, there's your new friend? I don't think so. If you're going to put your hard earned money in a security, you better know it and you better like it.

So, when it comes to investing, trust your instincts. Research, research, research. If the numbers look great, or if a company shows promise..go for it!- Louise
